President

Greg co-founded the firm with Dave Hore in 2000. Greg has a broad range of experience in providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advisory services to both individual and business clients. Greg earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Canisius College.

Outside of Waterford, Greg has an active lifestyle and is an outdoor sports enthusiast who is passionate about fly fishing. Greg keeps fit by cycling, swimming, and running, and during 2012, he trained for and participated in his first sprint triathlon.

Christina M. Michalczak, CFP®, QPFCChristina Michalczak

Principal

Christina joined the firm in January 2007. She works closely with clients on financial planning issues and oversees the implementation of client recommendations. Christina also oversees firm operations including HR, Compliance, and IT-related items. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Planning from the State University of New York at Alfred. Christina enjoys spending time with her husband, Dave and son, Joseph.

Michael D. Harmer, CFP®Michael Harmer

Principal

Mike joined the firm in January 2012. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and an Enrolled Agent with the IRS. He is intimately involved with the presentation of client financial plans and implementation of client recommendations, as well as with daily client service needs related to all areas of comprehensive financial planning. Mike earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance from Canisius College. In his spare time, he is a sports enthusiast that loves to support local professional teams and enjoys traveling and playing golf.

Daniel Byles-Smith, CPA, CFP®                                           

Tax Director

Dan joined the firm in November 2016. Dan has experience as a tax professional primarily servicing closely held businesses and their owners as well as individual tax clients. Dan provides tax planning and compliance services to clients. Prior to joining Waterford, he worked as a Tax Manager with Freed Maxick CPAs and was a Senior Accountant with Chiampou Travis Besaw & Kershner LLP. While working with those firms he gained experience in business acquisitions and mergers, as well as multistate filings, estate planning, and business succession planning for family-owned businesses. Dan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Economics from Purdue University and his Master’s in Taxation from Northeastern University. Dan enjoys golfing and spending time with his wife, Jill and sons, Thomas and Jonathan.

Marybeth Rose

Planning AssociateMarybeth Rose

Marybeth joined the firm in January 2016. Marybeth earned her Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Financial Planning and her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Alfred. Marybeth services client needs on a daily basis, handles client requests, reviews retirement and cash flow projections, reviews client meeting materials, and provides follow ups for meetings. She also provides support to the Tax Department during tax season and manages the firm’s website, quarterly newsletter, and social media accounts.

Ellen J. Bosco

Client Service Associate 

Ellen joined the firm in January 2017. Ellen is our "director of first impressions." She greets all clients and guests as they arrive at or call into our office, and she works closely with all of our staff in servicing client needs and the needs of our office, including event planning and administration. Prior to joining Waterford, Ellen worked with KeyBank (First Niagara) as a Senior Teller. Ellen earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Communications from the State University of New York at Fredonia. She enjoys spending time with her daughter, Elise and her cat, Phoebe.

Ryan M. DiPasquale

Planning Associate

Ryan joined the firm in January 2018. He assists both our Tax and Financial Planning departments with income tax preparation and compliance; bookkeeping; client meeting preparation including retirement cash flow plans; and daily client account needs and maintenance. Ryan earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance and Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Accounting from Canisius College. He is currently working towards the CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designation.

Samantha L. Thomas

Intern

Samantha joined the firm in January 2020. She is currently a Senior at the State University of New York at Buffalo working toward a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Financial Analysis Concentration. Samantha is assisting our team throughout tax season in both our Tax and Financial Planning departments. She is helping with entering information for client tax returns, tax return assembly, and the processing of tax returns as they arrive at the office. She also helps to prepare for client review meetings and with entering data for financial projections and analysis.

David T. Hore

David Hore

Director of Business Development

Dave co-founded the firm with Greg Kozerski in 2000. Dave earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Accounting from the State University of New York at Buffalo. In 1994, he became the Founder and Managing Partner for Tronconi Segarra & Hore LLP. Dave led PCB Group, Inc. initially as its Co-President and later as its President, from 2003-2016. Dave has been Executive Vice President and President, Sensors of MTS Systems Corp. since the acquisition of PCB in 2016. Active in the WNY charitable community, Dave is the former President and CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County.
